permanently lower mp3 gain in batch?

Post by debu »

Mp3 gain won't allow me to set it below 75db and I need a bunch of mp3's at a very low volume, will media monkey allow me to permanently lower gain on select files?

The volume leveling setting won't affect how loud files are in another program right?

Tools > Level Track Volume. Under Tools > Options > Volume Leveling you can set what volume should be used.

I was under the impression that this only added meta-data that leveled volume when an mp3 was played within Media monkey. Will this permanently lower the volume so it plays lower on ALL players? Thanks

Yes, Level Track Volume alters the file so all players play at the same volume whereas Analyze Volume saves it in the tag which isn't supported by all players.
