Great job. I would suggest at looking at the hover over inactive tab lack of contrast. Either lightening the text or the tab background should improve the contrast.

Hey DreadM.

A few suggestions re. the tabs:

1) It's a detail but...
I think the order of the tab overlay is not good. The left tabs should be on top of the right tabs. ( Like in Google Chrome )

Image

2) Would be nice to remove the text blur effect from the tabs.

3) The current tab should be opaque and the unselected tabs should be more transparent.

4) Maybe make the tabs one or two pixels bigger/ higher.

But general impression is that this skin is awesome! :)

ps: Nice that you got the radio button tabs for art and details to work.
Looks very clean!

Greetings

Well it's still difficult to display the tabs right on Aero (anti alias / white artefact's),
and to find the right balance also for Xp systems!

I already report this to Petr and he means it would be no problem to change this !
The question is just if we should do this , in beginning i thought this way was logical ,
but more i look at the tabs i think also the first one have to be in front of follow tabs ( Like in Google Chrome )
Dreadlau wrote:Would be nice to remove the text blur effect from the tabs.
i think it's not possible at the moment
Lowlander wrote:Either lightening the text or the tab background should improve the contrast.
Have no control over the font color ( i think belongs to aero blur effect)

More transparent brings more problems (change colors on different backgrounds)

But i look again for the tabs and see what i can do

There is one bug I came across on XP. When applying this skin the top left MediaMonkey icon still had the previous skin border. This was fixed by restarting.

Vitreous does look okay, but I'm not a 100% sure is it is using very light colors.

Ok, if you zoom in your screenshot ,theres also an overlay in Vitreous,
It look like a engine problem not a skin bug,

I start on tab rework ,
What you think about the new Properties tab (looks same on Aero and XP Systems)
Tab order is change now (like ChromeTabs) :D

I like them too! :D

One more suggestion for the tabs:

In google chrome there is a thin shadow around the selected tab and above the toolbar.
Would be nice to have that.

Would be nice if it was possible to define two different tabs images.
one for aero and one for classic/xp.

For a next build you will be able to define different tabs for XP.
For now main tabs can be defined using MainWindowTabs. In 1351 you can also define MainWindowTabsXP.

Good to hear ,
i don't know if it's really necessary because since the last build we can defined Tab background for XP,
and this solves some problems :D

But sure it's useful when we use Transparency tabs in Skin/Aero systems.
