Ok, I've not tried shutting down MM without backup on shutdown set, I'll try this when I get home.

I don't know if this makes a difference but I do not have this selected and I receive the error on shutdown.

EDIT: Here are what my settings are:

Still using 5.4, but...

I added the "overwrite previous backups" to my configuration per your previous comments on the matter. However upon closing the program tonight, still received a "Backup canceled because output folder already exists" error.

When you ticked the option you clicked the "Backup" button to confirm the change, right?

I was pretty sure I did, however either I mistakenly did not, or something screwed up with MM (as the track selected in the Now Playing pane was the same one that was selected yesterday when I started the program yesterday, despite several plays yesterday.) However, I went back in and re-checked the option, confirmed it with Backup, and then closed the program to test. Permission Denied error in ABackup2 on line 474 and char 9 again (code: 800A0046).

I'm not sure if I can fix "permission denied", especially as I haven't been able to replicate it myself, but I'll give it a go.

Recently mm3 crashed and I tried to restore from the restore.vbs, but it's apparently it's now corrupt (worked one time before)
I've painstakingly spent years on my playlists, so the only thing I really care about is the backupplaylists.db. How do I do I restore just this? thanks

Even if the restore script is broken for some reason, all of the files can be copied into place manually. What's corrupt about it?

To import the "BackupPlaylists.DB" file you need to use my "Backup Playlists" script... http://trixmoto.net/mm/go.php?f=BackupPlaylists21.mmip

New version (5.6) is now available to download from my website. Changes include...

- Fixed "permission denied" errors when deleting folders
- Fixed backup on shutdown creating blank database rows
- Fixed "error executing script event" on shutdown
- Fixed count of tracks moved not working

Hopefully that's everything sorted! :)

In case I forgot to say it, I love these new features. Good Job! :)

Hey trix,

With Backup 5.6 installed I can't remove tracks from the Now Playing section or the library section. The standard boxes come up with delete from Now Playing, delete from Now Playing and the Library etc. But whatever I select nothing happens.

I went back to 5.4 and everything works fine. Reinstalled 5.6 and remove stops working again.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Cheers,

It works for me, but I have the delete confirmations turned off, if that makes a difference.
