old lic key won't upgrade to gold with MM reinstall

Post by gds »

My license key won't upgrade me to gold on my new reinstall of MM. Gold was running fine with old hard drives.
I've just installed new hard drives and reinstalled all apps. Reinstalled MM ver 3.2 and is running fine, but when I put in my old key to upgrade to the gold standard, it tells me 'key is invalid.' It's possible that the old key was received while I was running ver 3.1 and then I upgraded to 3.2 which ran fine on old hard drives (with the gold standard).
Maybe I need to uninstall ver 3.2, then install ver 3.1, then upgrade to gold, then upgrade to ver 3.2?
Help, I want my gold back.

That wouldn't be necessary. Make sure you have either a 3.x or lifetime license and check out this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... 84&nav=0,4

It's working!!!
Thanks. I forgot that I used Trial Pay for the upgrade.
While trying to upgrade I was using my MM username, but I needed to use my Trial Pay username which was different.
So it was a problem with the username not the key #.
