Pop sound at begining of song

I just installed MediaMonkey and it does the same thing my Songs-DB does, it make a POP sound at the begining of each song.

Does anyone know what causes this? What can I do to get it to stop?

Try to change output Plugin of MM to DirectSound as Wave Out Is by default.

That was it! I tried searching the forum but I guess I never got the right combination of keywords to uncover the solution.
