How to associate .CDG files to .MP3 ?

How to associate .CDG files to .MP3 (Karaoke) ?
These .CDG files are Lyrics, and when you play a .MP3 (instrumental)
You can sing along reading the lyrics.
A .CDG should be next to the .MP3 to work.

From what I know CDG are Karaoke Images (like DVD Subpictures)?
I remember that there was some winamp .CDG Input plugin that can read CDG Files as normal Media Files but I haven't used CDG in years.
