scrobbling over upnp

Post by JeffV64 » Sun Sep 16, 2018 5:11 pm

Hi - I recently started having a problem when using Sonos to access my MediaMonkey library (build = 1875). Specifically, about 30 seconds away from the end of the first song I would play, MM would crash ungracefully (no crash report, no mediamonkey.elf report). This happens every time, but does not happen when I play a track on my windows computer. Today I installed the debug version of 1875, and *did* receive a crash report. You can see below that there is an access violation error in module 'gen_LastFMScrobbler.dll'.

Any help will be appreciated. Let me know if a debug log will help you help me. ~ Jeff

Hi,
So you are using MMW as UPnP renderer?

I tried and can't replicate, can you please give exact step by step?

Hi Peke - thank you for the quick response.

Environment
In Tools > Library > Media Sharing, I have my library set up to share over UPnP/DLNA. Under Options, I have the "Update Play Counter" box ticked, and last.fm scrobbling set up in the usual place.

Step-by-step
It's easy -- from the Sonos "select a music source" menu choose the shared MM library. Navigate to a song and add it to the queue. MMW would crash toward the end of the song.

I wrote "MMW would crash" because, after experiencing this problem for a good two weeks, I cannot replicate it now! Unbelievable. I'll let you know if it reappears.
