preamp adds cracks

When i use the preamp of the built-in equalizer of MM4.1.11.1783, it will add some 'lovely' cracks and noise to the audio. I've this problem only with MM4, when I'm using the preamp, not when I'm using the other features of the equalizer.

I'm using W10 on a H170-mobo and the Creative SB X-Fi as the main soundcard (connected by the SPDIF to the Samsung AH63 and by the front panel for the B&W C5).

Hi,
Those lovely cracks you hear are Clipping cracks and I would suggest that if possible you should use gain on Sound card control app instead of MMW.

Personally as I use Audiophile Sennheiser HD 650 I built myself Headphone Amp to have absolutely accurate sound.
