"There is no disk in the drive."

Post by regnaD kciN »

Currently on MM 4.1.11.1783 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

During one session, I inserted a disk into the CD drive and I guess I exited the program without first removing the CD. Since then, every time I start MM, I get a dialog box reading:

"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:"

and the only way I can proceed to the program is by cancelling the dialog box somewhere between ten and twenty times.

I tried inserting a disk, then removing it, waiting a few minutes, and then exiting MM in the hopes that it would "reset" the status of the drive. No such luck -- I'm still getting the dialog box on startup every time.

Anyone have any idea on how to fix this? It's really annoying.

Hi,
That is strange, and it should not happen.
Can you try to install MMW as portable (selectable during install) and see if it opens correctly without that dialog. That should give us starting point where your settings are wrong and why MMW force opening CD even it is not inserted.
