The id tags on mp3 cannot be changed.
The changes you make gets discard the second the window closes.

Old bug reported before, Media monkey dead?

It works fine to change ID3 tags. Perhaps you lack permissions to modify the files.

There are some (10-20 out of 160K) that do not keep tags. I have never figured out what is causing it .. i know it isn't just MMW as the tagger I use, Tag&Rename has same problem with the files. Some get locked or ??

Likely some tag corruption within the files. If you convert them to a new MP3 file you may find that the tags can be changed.
