1708 Portable - corrupt unskinned icons [#12100]

Unskinned was working fine, until I switched to a skin and back. This left the menu command and toolbar icons all corrupt:

This on XP.

Any ideas?

Devs, perhaps you have messed up on the disabling of skinning, and would like to take a look at this?
