WMA genre tags are not read

MM will not read the genre tag on many of my WMA files. Windows Media Player and Dr Tag both read them fine, but MM doesn't. I heave tried removing the files and adding thm to the library again, but it still doesn't work. MP3 files are fine and some WMA files work !

MM version = 2.1 (1.596)
Win XP Pro

Try 2.2 RC-3 it may solve your problem.

Hmmmm, I'm using 2.1 - 1596 and have had no problems with WMA genre tags. My entire library, 4100+ songs, is WMA. XP Home, all media files copied via Win Media Player 9 direct from CD's.

Well Backup your Library It can be found in MMs Data dir named MediaMonkey.mdb copy someware safe and than when You install MM 2.2 RC-3 Find Lib in "My documents\My Music\MediaMonkey" and copy backup Lib Over it.
