auto-organize: only 2 digits in track#

Post by demm »

i have a problem with the auto organize feature.

i have a CD compilation as mp3
the track numers are 4 digits
the first 2 for the cd number, the second 2 for the track number
e.g. track 11 on cd 7 would be 0711 as track number in the id tag.

now i want to rename them, but using the <track#> will only use the first 2 digits of the actual track number.
so renaming the example above would result in "07 - ..."
it should be "0711 - ..."

it would be great if this could be fixed!

best regards

You can use a special feature of renaming masks - ':# of digits to show' which means in your case '<Track#:4>' mask.

Hi,

Oh oh, a little hidden feature ;-)

I suppose it is the same functionnaly for text fields? (ie: want the first 2 chars of the artist?)

Thanks,

That's currently intended for numerical fields only (track #, bitrate, BPM). Some advanced features may come in the future, maybe even conditional masks (e.g. If 'Artist' field is filled in use <Artist>-<Title> mask, else use <Track#><Title> mask).
