Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
I unplugged and plugged back in 2+- hours later and did not get this message. Opitons still shows the external as selected. So I don't know. Something is wrong.

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
Hi, does it report the 'Free' size correctly on the [Summary] page and the bottom graphical indicator (Audio,Video,Other,Free)?
Could you attach screengrab of your device summary page with the indicator?

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
I hope this is the summary screen you are talking about ..
The samsung/system settings/storage shows Capacity and Free are the same. It doesn't show the amount for music/vids on the ext card.

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
Yes, this is the page I was talking about.
So I guess that if you see 1.9 GB free like on the screengrab then this issue does not appear, right?
The issue probably appears when you see 0 B free, right? Maybe the free space is not reported correctly by the device sometimes.
The strange thing on the screenshot is that it indicates only 265 MB as 'Other', do you have really only 265 MB of other content on the card?

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
I will *try* to remember to check the summary page when this presents itself again.
As for 'other'. There are a ton of folders. Just like MMA puts folders on phone and ext, it seems that many apps put things on the ext .. even when not using. Probably time to clean it all up
Thanks for following along.

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
Just looked at the card storage summary and saw this
It appears that the CAPACITY of the card is 29.3 with 23.3 in audio and other 26.9 ... not sure how these totals work

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
This can happen if 'Scanning...' of the device is not completed yet, MM consider the audio content on the device as 'other' until it completes scan and compare the 'other' with audio that is already on the device. Nevertheless this shouldn't be the issue, because MM waits for complete scan on the start of each auto-sync.
Probably (if the issue happens again) the debug log could help here.

Re: MMW or MMA - Not enough space
I *think* the scan was complete but might not have been .. that was yesterday. Just now plugging in showed the right values (or at least much easier to understand )
The problem with a log is that this has only happened 3-4 times over the last couple of months. Plugging in 3-4 times a day. I guess the only alternative is to always have the log running and clear it as as need :O
Thanks again. I will try to narrow down when this happens
