Slow transfer speeds?

Post by swears »

Does MM3 support USB 2.0?

It took me over an hour to transfer just 1000 songs.

This can't be right. Yes I have usb 2.0 ports.

Heh, yes of course. That's why I'm asking. When I transferred w/ WMP it was lightning quick.

Have you got on the go conversion turned on?

If you do, try disabling it and see if that speeds it up.

Not sure what that is, but I think conversion is only for gold members so, i don't have that.

What player are you transferring to, and what connect mode is it set up for - MTP, or UMS? I've certainly seen reports of slow synchronization with MTP mode on Cowon/iAudio players.

Some players will only use USB 2 speeds when sync'd via MTP (made to pay!) mode.

It's a Gigabeat s-60.

I think it's a MTP device. One of those that you can see as a disk when you connect, but can't defrag for some strange reason. =(
