Ahh. So there's an option to automatically organize the files, but I have to download the files, first?nohitter151 wrote:http://www.mediamonkey.com/information/gold/ultranothing wrote:Lowlander wrote:As MediaMonkey can download and automatically organize it would seem possible. The post is too long to re-read, but it seems Auto-Organize (Gold feature) should rename the files once they're downloaded based on their tags.
So, you're saying that MediaMonkey already does this? But only in the premium (gold) version? Or are you saying that it "should" do this, but that it should be a premium feature?
Sorry, I'm not entirely following you...See Options > Auto-organizeOrganize Files Automatically wrote:Automatically organize and rename audio / video files on your hard drive into a logical hierarchy of your choice according to a set of rules that you define. Classical music can be organized by Composer and Home Videos by Date and MediaMonkey will take care of organizing them automatically as a background process.
So this would only fulfill the part of your request after you follow your manual process to download the files, then they will be automatically moved and renamed.
So basically, I can set MediaMonkey to automatically organize the files, and then all I have to do is download the tracks and MediaMonkey will take care of the rest, eliminating my need to take the additional steps of clearing the playlist, dragging and dropping the downloaded files into the playlist, selecting them all and then manually selecting "auto-organize"?
Well, heck! That's essentially what I'm after, if I'm understanding you correctly.
I'll give it a try and report back!
