Deleting Unwated Genres

Can someone tell me if there is an EASY way to delete genres from Media Monkey. I have added some that I no longer want and I would like to see them removed. I can right-click on the Genre in the tree and click remove but nothing happens. I read many posts on this and there is lots of technical info but computers are not really my thing. So is there an easy step-by-step process on how to delete unwanted or unused genres?
