Replace various MP3s with FLAC versions

Postby nkormanik » Tue Jan 31, 2017 8:00 pm

I'd like some suggestions as to the best way to replace a number of mp3 file versions with full FLAC equivalents.

It seems better to have full un-lossy versions of audio files if possible. But once our mediamonkey library has a bunch of those files in lossy versions, how can one go about making an efficient switch?

Of course I could keep both versions -- mp3 and FLAC -- but for space reasons I'd prefer to delete the mp3 versions, if I have the FLAC ones.

Thanks,

I Rip a new FLAC copy and then use viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13000&hilit=advanced+duplicate to copy metadata from MP3 to FLAC copy and then have it deleted.
