Formatting folders
i have organised close to all my music however whilst all the tags are now correct the folders that house them are not accurate so for example Lady Gaga The Monster, may appear something like lady-gaga (artist folder) THE MONSTER (album folder). Is there a script that can take the tag information and format the folders accordingly.
Re: Formatting folders
I can't find a plugin that would do what you're requesting, however there's a function in MM; you can right click on a file that's in your library > Send to ... > Folder (Rip/Convert)
But you could also just install TagScanner, it'd do exactly what you're asking.

Re: Formatting folders
auto organize is cool i knew about that but it creates a folder inside the folder if that makes sense.
Re: Formatting folders
To prevent this, add: "..\" in front of destination mask. Example:affablefreddy wrote:auto organize is cool i knew about that but it creates a folder inside the folder if that makes sense.
Code: Select all
..\<Album Artist> - <Album> (<Year>)\<Track#:2> - <Title>
Re: Formatting folders
Or use full path like C:\Music\<Album Artist> - <Album> (<Year>)\<Track#:2> - <Title>
