Using MediaMonkey 4.0, I ripped a track from a cd. From my desktop PC with an onboard soundcard (Realtek AC889A codec), the digital output from MediMonkey 4 is routed to Cambridge Audio Dacmagic. The latter shows the sampling rate is 48 kHz instead of 44.1. Same thing for several tracks ripped.
When I play the CD track using a transport + Cambridge Audio Dacmagic, the sampling rate shown is 44.1 khz.
Why 48 kHz?
Ripped music - sampling rate

What format did you rip to and what did you set as Sample Rate?

Ripped to FLAC with MediaMonkey. Didn't set sampling rate - don't think one could set this.
Re: Ripped music - sampling rate
I think I found the answer: the AC97 onboard digital output has been resampled to 48 kHz - MediaMonkey has nothing to do with that. (Ref: http://www.head-fi.org/t/193296/realtek-ac97-s-pdif-out)ianm0 wrote:...
