problem with renaming file
used the db program to rename file and it swithched file types and cannot use it anymore, when i check properties it just says file, cannot import it into program again or with any other player?
You can rename it again and add a correct extension (probably ".mp3") back to the file. So the whole mask would look like "%F.mp3" (for example).
Nevertheless you are right, that it is too simple to remove an extension from the filename and therefore the song can't be played anymore. So I will change the logic slightly and it won't be so easy anymore.
