SXSW 2011 - Tons of free music!

Post by nohitter151 » Sun Feb 13, 2011 3:39 pm

South by Southwest is an annual festival that takes place during a week in March in Austin, Texas. Every year, hundreds of artists perform at the event. Even better, hundreds of artists make a sampling of their music available completely free on the SXSW website.

If you're interested, there is also a torrent available to quickly download all the preview tracks uploaded there. See:

Downloading these tracks is completely legal! These are artists trying to make a name for themselves so they are happy to spread their music to as many people as they can.

I have downloaded these tracks for the past few years, and though it's a lot to get through, I've found some gems and discovered some artists I probably would have never heard otherwise.
