SongDB had more in common with MediaMonkey than this new app

Post by ZvezdanD »

My suggestions:
1. Use some another name for this new application instead of MediaMonkey, or at least add some suffix, e.g. MediaMonkey Enterprise, starting with v1.0.

2. Continue work on Windows application which would be compatible with the existing scripts and skins using the old name and 5.0 version.

In that way you would have two products to sell, at least for some time until you see which one is selling better.

We are going to support MM4 for some time even after MM5 release, particularly for users who won't be able to migrate right away due to missing scripts or other reasons. I suppose that these gaps will be filled quickly though and there soon won't be a reason why not to upgrade to MM5.

I don't know .. except for a new UI it sounds like some of the limiting things under the hood wont be changing. And changes to the scripting will keep several from redoing scripts.

Do you mean any particular bugs or issues?
