I have downloaded the latest MM for android. I have two old Google devices, one of them is my Nexus 4 phone running 5.1.1 Lollipop. Since both devices are Google, they are not keen on external USB connections.
I've connected a 16GB USB OTG to the phone loaded with mp3s but MM won't recognise the external drive on either device. It will only see internal phone folders. I've checked the MM app permissions and it states that MM has access to USB storage.
Poweramp can find the external drive just fine, but it lacks to ability to stream via Chromecast Audio.
External storage not recognised

Re: External storage not recognised
Is the problem when browsing Folder or are you trying to include it in the Library/sync to the USB drive?

Re: External storage not recognised
Thanks for the reply. At the moment, MM doesn't see the USB drive at all. So I can't sync or browse any folders. So to be clear, it has never found the drive in the past either.
I would have expected MM to find the external USB drive under 'Folders'.

Hi,
As MMA never see OTG Drive in Folders can you please do these following steps:
1. Unplug OTG
2. start MMA
3. open Folders
4. send us log using ⋮ -> About MediaMonkey -> Send Logs and write log id here before sending
5. go back to main screen
6. Connect OTG
7. open folders
8. send us log using ⋮ -> About MediaMonkey -> Send Logs and write log id here before sending
It should hopefully shred how MMA see connected OTG
