Strange Volume Jumps

This may be a question for the Programmers.

I have recently been noticing that on my MMA that's on my phone, that there are strange volume jumps (increases) at the end of some of the songs . I have my MMA set for Gapless play.
It only appears at the very last few seconds ( notes ) of the song, and doesn't do it on all songs.
It mostly appears at the tail end of the song and as another song ( seque way ) has started that is much louder in volume.
This has started just since I downloaded a new Rev. level on my MMW and synced to my MMA ( phone )
Any idea what is causing this ?
