A Couple Minor Issues w/ Flac Playback

I've been using this app for several months now and strictly run it with locally stored music (.flac) files only on an all-in-one PC. I've experienced a couple issues while playing back music:
1. I have close to 900 full albums and it seems as though, when I go into albums and sort by artists, I lose the default lettering system of the app and the album artwork shrinks in size.
2. I experience skipping in audio playback consistently. I have tried other media players on this same computer and audio playback from the same local media hasn't ever skipped.
