Changing tags of multiple songs doesn' work

I tried to change tags of multiple songs by selecting them (slightly draging them to the right so that they Show a checkmark on the right) and then click on "properties" from the context menu. When I then change e.g tag "Album" and confirm with OK, only the Album tag of the latter selected song is changed.
Is this a bug or is there a different way to change properties of multiple Songs?
