Home network, all machines are win8, mezzmo latest version 3.0.2.9.
When trying to access Mezzmo DNLA server from laptop in home network, VLC sees and plays content fine (except subtitles) from mezzmo server.
MM win8 app does not even see mezzmo server. Conceiva is checking this constellation (mezzmo vs MM win8 app) on their end, suggested I leave a comment here to notify you of issue.
Hope you have a solution, and also I need subtitles to work in order to be able to use at home.

Have you tested with the newest MM8 version? Be sure that it is the newest build as there were some fixes in this area.
Are you able to see the Mezzmo server under the Computer node of Windows Explorer? Or it is presented only under Network node?
If you cannot see it under Computer node, try to use toolbar Computer -> Connect to media server, does it help?
