Not all artists on SD card show in mm application

Not all artists on SD card show in mm application. I have crossed checked with Google music player to confirm that the artists and tracks are there. I have also verified by looking through my SD card separately. Is there a setting that limits the number of tracks or artists shown?
I have slightly less than 7000 tracks on the SD card.

Yes I synced up directly to the SD card.
I am using MM version 1.2.0.0624 and Android version 7.0.
I have looked at every setting and ever tried to reload the SD card folders but many artists/tracks still do not show on the player.

When you sync directly to a SD card you rely on the Android Media Scanner to pick up file metadata. It's best to sync to your phone (SD card in it) with MMA installed as that allows MMW to update the MMA database directly with the file metadata.
