Saving Precise Track Position (to avoid manual seeking) betw

Post by ttheuri »

The Android App Music Player does Not save the exact track position (to avoid manual seeking) between different sessions & reboots?
And it loses its track position when you enable or disable DLNA \ Casting to other AVR \Music devices

This forces one to manually seek to the specific track location that was playing before you enabled DLNA or exited the andoid app

Can this bug be resolved?

No, unfortunately this is how things are designed.

Have you tried to set track as Audiobook and see if that will remember last playback position?

Thanks Peke

Does that mean all tracks need to be set as audiobooks?

I assume Audiobooks can also be cast using DLNA like normal tracks?

Hi,

Unfortunately even the Audiobook trick is not working.

I added the Audiobook genre to several MP3 files and tried repeatedly to see if the playing position was remembered.

However, in all cases MMA would start playing from the start once I clicked the start casting button to begin DLNA\casting to the AVR
