Notifications and phone calls: no sound at all

I installed MM twice. Each time after a while all other sounds are muted even when I quit the app (or MM stays in the background, not sure). When trying to raise the volume from 0 with the volume up button the cursor on the Android volume bar. Uninstalling MM instantly solves the problem. Of course I would like to use it again so please help.

Can you please try to make exact repro steps?
