Lost Playlists [#12144]
My issue of losing playlists in MMA has returned.
I typically have 13 Playlists that I use for various venues in my music Gigs. The last time I used MMA they were all present and accounted for, and now after not using MMA for 4 days, I find four missing.
The only way to bring these back is to delete everything and then reload the entire library back into MMA.
All is well in MMW.

Re: Lost Playlists
I have the same problem; certain autoplaylists from MMW contained underneath a parent playlist have disappeared on MMA. I am running Version 1.0.6.0293Lowlander wrote:Which version of MMA?
Re: Lost Playlists
There have been reports of lost Playlists due to updates of the 1.0.6 betas (I've seen this as well), but I haven't seen loss of Playlists outside of updates. I do use nested Playlists. The best would be to send a debug log from MMA (from About screen) right after this happens.

Re: Lost Playlists
I might add that I can locate the .m3u files in my phones file system. All playlists, both ones that appear and don't appear in MMA, are located in the same folder. I sent a debug log.
Re: Lost Playlists
I also have problem with disappearing playlists.
For e.g.
1. I start MediaMonkey by clicking the icon.
2. I click on the "Playlists"
3. I click in the upper right corner on the "3 dots" in their I click on the "+ Create new playlist"
4. Enter the name for playlist "Rock" and click "OK"
5. Now I see the playlist "Rock" with the test "empty"
6. I click on upper left corner "<MM Playlists, to get back to main meny
7. Click on the "Artist& album Artist" icon
8. I press and hold "Aaron Tippin" til the line get marked in the right side
9. I also add some other artist now by clicking on the box on the left of each artist.
10. After this I click in the middle bottom icon "3 dotted line", and choose the only playlist I now have "Rock" and press "OK"
11. Back to main meny
12. Playlist, 1 entry "Rock" with 98 tracks
13. I go back to main meny
14. I close down mediamonkey by clicking on the "return to main screen" hard button on phone.
15. I do something else, like play one game of "unblock me"

Re: Lost Playlists
You Guys have any ideas yet? You cant have files stored on a external drive.
I have another android device a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE (GT-P7320) with Android 4.0.4. The MM version is the same. But here I don't have a external memory card.
Here my playlist stays intact. On my phone Samung S5 mini, they disapear as soon I restart MM.
Cheers

Re: Lost Playlists
Thx Lowlander
Update:
I tried to move my files to the unit's memory (The standard Music folder in Android) and now the playlist stays. Debug log: Y0I7C4NDY7
So it seems it dos not work to have the files on a memory card.

Re: Lost Playlists
Hi, it is now fixed in new beta builds of MMA and MMW. You need both. Please let us know.
Re: Lost Playlists [#12144]
I downloaded the latest build 309 and did a quick try. And it seems to work, before you got the result instant, but it now holds the playlist which it didnt do before. I will redownload all the tracks to the sdcard and start do proper test.
If it works a big Thx

Re: Lost Playlists [#12144]
Firefly,
Can you confirm that you synced MMA build 309 with the latest version of MMW (4.1.5.1717) ?
Thanks.
