MediaMonkey v5.0 an multiplatform/platformindependent framework of previously devided in separate applications:
MM8 = MediaMonkey for Windowst 8+ utilizing Metro UI
MMW = MediaMonkey for Windows Desktop

Agree! To have a Collumn with "Year" on the homescreen would be a big help
