MediaMonkey 1.2.0.587 Beta

Postby rusty » Fri Apr 01, 2016 6:30 am

Hi,

We're starting testing of MMA 1.2.0, which will consist of a few new features + incremental improvements. See the 'Download' section below to learn how to access it!

The most significant changes in this build are:
    Added
    - Chromecast audio casting
    - USB OTG support
    - Pause spoken audio on interrupt

    Improved
    - db optimizations
    - use URIs instead of paths
    - video playback UI
    - suppress notifications behavior

    Fixed
    - duplicate sync profiles
    - sd content not visible on some devices
    - ogg files don't show in folder view
    - seekbar may not register a tap
    - player stops for some tracks
    - artwork doesn't update for files already synced

A complete list of changes appears is in the changelog.

Download
Beginning with this build, MediaMonkey for Android beta builds will be available as 'MediaMonkey' builds via the play store (we will no longer be updating the 'MediaMonkey beta' builds. We're making this change because:
      a) it'll allow you to switch between beta and release builds without having to uninstall MediaMonkey
      b) it'll help us expand our beta-testing user base
      c) it'll help help us manage the transition from Alpha to Beta to Release more efficiently
      d) it'll eliminate test artifacts

If you're a current beta tester, here's how to make the switch from 'MediaMonkey Beta' to the 'MediaMonkey' beta:
      1) Uninstall 'MediaMonkey Beta'. This will delete existing settings (and may delete files synced with MediaMonkey depending on your OS version, so you'll have to resync, but it's a one-time operation).
      2) Install the latest version of 'MediaMonkey' via
      https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... nkey&hl=en
      3) Register in Google Play for the beta program via:
      https://play.google.com/apps/testing/co ... ediamonkey

After a period of time, your MediaMonkey build will automatically be updated to the latest beta version (and will continue to be automatically updated with the latest beta builds unless you de-register from the beta program).

    Test Notes:
      - MediaMonkey 1.2.0 is compatible with Android 4+
      - If testing USB or WiFi Synchronization, please update to the latest version of the MediaMonkey for Windows beta build (4.1.12)
      - Some functionality will expire after 15 days unless you update to MediaMonkey Pro. Installing a new build resets the timer.

Enjoy and please let us know what you think!
