I'm hoping for a definitive answer as opposed to a theoretical one.

Has anyone got a Heos 7 and got this working with MM (desktop and/or android)

Thanks.

Haven't tried, but device doesn't list DLNA capability (required for MMW) nor Chromecast capability (required for MMA), so it would seem neither can stream that way.

Device does have Bluetooth (so connect Windows or Smartphone via Bluetooth) which would allow wireless streaming of either device audio and has an Aux in to connect either PC or Smartphone to.

I don't have a Heos7. But I did look at the Heos1 a couple of years ago. The user manual states it is DLNA compliant.

There are reviews of the Heos7 that mention DLNA:

http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/denon-heos-7
https://www.richersounds.com/heos-7-hs2-black.html
https://www.digitaltrends.com/wireless- ... -7-review/

Then there's this:

It's amazing what a google search for 'heos7 dlna' will find...

Hi,
As i do not have device from what I see initial setup needs to be done by HEOS app and there must be either sticker on device or somewhere in HEOS app to get MAC adderess am/or IP it gets from network. After you have HEOS app connected to Speaker you can use http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/ to check if PC you want to use see the speaker then if you right click on MMW player under Choose player you should see HEOS Speaker.
