Probably the experts can say for sure, but I had the same problem installing MonkeyRok thanis morning. You have to run MediaMonkey as an administrator, then install the script. At least, that's what worked for MonkeyRok.DMLCo wrote:I almost fainted with joy when I saw the description of this script, and eagerly downloaded it ... running it produces a MM dialog box that says Backup Was Not Installed. Any ideas?

@MyCsPiTTa, WHOO HOO! That did it, thanks. I had thought I had MM starting that way by default, but I did not.
This used to show my recently played tracks. Sad to see @lozzd's tool go dark.
Re: Backup 5.8 - Updated 27/10/2010
Good! I'm glad it is working for you.MyCsPiTTa wrote: My problem is exactly the same as Gretchen's, but when I try your suggestion, the "module fails to load", and actually I cannot find xzip.dll in the folder you specify (or, in fact, on my C drive at all) - Is there a was to install this dll?
EDIT: I downloaded XZip.dll from the web and put it in the folder above, then followed your instructions to register it. Now the Output Archive box can be ticked and the backup works perfectly !

Every time I Close MM and the script should make a backup it says "Cant create backup, Output Folder already exists" The Folder exists since the first backup, what do I have to configure to make it work?

Thanks a lot, overwriting the existing files helped for me.
One more question: Can I disable the Info Pop Up that the Backup was succesfully created ?

I'm struggling to get the backups zipped... really strange that it has stopped working after 2 years. XZip.dll is in the AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts directory and I've tried the command prompt trick.
Any ideas? My database is 45MB with 9,000 tracks, so not huge.

Backup hangs?
Hi Monkeys,
I am using the Backup script (Trixmoto v 5..
It seems to hang on exporting playlists: "Backup exporting m3us..." I don't see them in the backup folder, is that where they would be?
Related to this I think I get an error:
Script: " c:\users\OOVJ\Appdata\Roaming\mediaMonkey\Scripts\ABackups.vbs
line: 418
Char: 22
Error: Path not found
Code: 800A004C
Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error
what would be causing this?
Thank you....................... liz

It should create any paths that it needs to, so the "Path not found" error message could mean that the script doesn't have the privilege to create folders in the backup location.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.

Windows script host error
I reinstalled MM on another HD and just copied my scripts from the old HD. Now when I shut down I get this error message:
Windows script host error
Script: C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\ABackup2.vbs
Line: 65
Char: 7
Error: permission denied
code: 800A0046
source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error
I would uninstall it but I don't have anything in tool>extensions
thanks

I figured it out.
Backup 5.8 for 64bit Windows
Hi folks. I've read through the forum several times, and I can see that Trixmoto's script has been adapted by other users for 64bit OS - but I can't find any guidance on how to do it. Could someone offer some help, please? Not smart enough to do it alone..! Thanks.
MMW or Backkup 5.8?
There are a couple changes to the db that doesn't appear on the message box you popup. For example last night I convert 30 files from AVI to MP4. The MMW changed the path from xxx.avi to xxx.mp4. When Moving files is another time that it doesn't report the number of files changed. Was just wondering if it was Backup missing this or, as i suspect, for some reason just changing the path column MMW doesn't update what ever counter/flag/date etc.
