Umh, no ... ?!
Authentification is not working and I don't understand what the errors mean, since I am no coder.
Can you help me please?

bonjo, I think these errors are the ones I get because I don't have Internet Explorer on my system (the last one is failure to start/find IE).

Do you have this application installed?

I added a pdf-file "HowTo authenticate with discogs" in the first post of this thread. Maybe this could help.

PDF-File

An Internet Explorer is necessary for using this add-on. No IE Edge. The latest "normal" IE (Version 11) is recommended.

Downloaded IE 11. Will not install as it says the latest version is already installed. Can not uninstall Edge, because Microsoft! Can not install IE 11, because Edge. = Endless loop and non working tagger. :(

For those getting the error that IE is not installed try this:
Open Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on/off

Look for IE 11, it is off by default in Windows 10 latest versions. Turn it on by selecting it. (check mark)

Reboot

Follow instruction in the PDF file. All is well :)

Apparently the latest Windows 10 removed IE11 (not just access?). Has anyone else experienced this with the latest major (post-Anniversary) Win 10 update?

Thanks for the help.

Things to try:

Add IE thru Turn on/off process>Reboot
Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Your Default Programs>Web Browser? (Clicking on existing entry should open a pop up menu with selections)
Create a shortcut on desktop to c:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Start>Windows Accessories>Internet Explorer

Will the Discogs addon automatically download lyrics?

I got the Amazon "Couldn't show results - HTTP/1.1.400 Bad Request" "Auto-Tag from Web" issue fixed by getting a Discog account. Is there an option to automatically grab lyrics like the Amazon one did or will I have to use one of these?

Lyricator: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=74982
DarkLyrics: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73643
Lyrics Fetcher: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=62619

If I have to use one of the above, what are the pros/cons/preferred option?

I'm running 4.1.19.1859 on Windows 10.

Thanks!
Russ

There is a build in Lyrics retriever. However it doesn't do it for all files in the Library.

Can't use discogs tagger anymore with the latest update. Always says "Error happened during script execution: Unknown Name" :(

EDIT: Re-installing the previous version (5.5.4) gets it working again.

Hi DJSamhein,

thank you for your bug-report. Could you please install the 5.5.5 again and report here which Tagger options you see if you use the options in the right upper corner of the Discogs Tagger window? Thank you for your help!

Greetings
Sven

I just delete the new version. If you have problems with the new version, install please the previous version 5.5.4.

I release an updated version soon. Thank you
