charmingnathan wrote:As it shows in the screen dumps, one was Dr. Feelgood "Primo" and "Greatest Hits", but I also tried Adam & The Ants, plus Jane Wiedlin to ensure that it wasn't just related to the artist or band I had tried.

The error showed on all three.

Hope this helps?
Yeah, this helps a lot. I only look for the error as i open the Screenshots

Hi Sven,

thanks for your work!
Unfortunately does the tagging for the internet not work anymore here (latest Mediamonkey version).
Either if I try different Tracks, the search result leads to Fela Kuti - The underground Spiritual game - and no, I wanted not to tag a Fela Kuti track - tried to tag "Every Night" by Hannah Diamond, but this was with otehre tracks to.

cheers

Hi Risch,

thank you for the LOG-File. I found the problem. The album has the wrong release-number.
Try the following: Start Discogs Tagger. Wait until the wrong release will be shown. Choose the right release from the upper drop-down menu and tag the album.
If there are no other releases in the upper drop-down menu you have to change the searchtext by clicking "Advanced Search"

Greetings
Sven

Hi crap_inhuman,

This is really odd.

At your request I have attempted to send you the log file, in fact I have tried to send it to you three times, but...despite the forum advising me that the "message has been sent successfully", all three messages seem stuck in my outbox.

It appears I am unable to P.M. people...this is getting stranger and stranger...

Any ideas?

Cheers.

The PM-Outbox is not a "normal" postbox like Outlook/Exchange.

If you write a pm, the pm will be stored in your outbox, until the recipient read the pm. So you can see, when the recipient read the pm.

If you delete the pm out of the outbox, it will not be send to the recipient. So now we know, why i never got the first pm.

I just wanted to say thank you for creating this amazing add-on. I love information. I also love different copies of the music I enjoy. Why have one album/cd of Dark Side of the Moon when you can have 6 different releases, right? :D There was always something that bothered me and that was what I believed to be the limitations of file Tagging, or I should say, my perceived limitations of file tagging. It always bothered me that I have all of this pertinent information related to each release on my master copies, but when I would rip to the computer I only ended up with the basics...song #, title, length, etc. I wanted so much more!

I only recently found out exactly what Discogs and Musicbrainz can do/is for. Why it took me so long, I'll never know. Even worse, for as much as I love MediaMonkey, for years I've been upset that MM could only do this, or only do that...Discovering your Discogs Tagger add-on has breathed new life into my music collection. :) Being able to have fields like Country of Release, Catalog #, etc. save to the Custom fields is so awesome! However, is there any way that I can change the words "Custom 1", "Custom 2", etc. for the column headings in MediaMonkey? I know that's not anything to do with your add-on, but I figured I would give it a shot since I'm sure you enjoy tagging all of this extra information, just as I do.

Thank you for your work!! :D

Hi alb123,

sorry for the late reply.

Thank you for your message. Messages like yours are the reason to work on the Tagger. :D

To change the Custom 1-5 names you have to go to : Tools -> Options -> Appearance

Greetings

Hi,

I have noticed that the change you made at my request, regarding the date/original date, isn't working properly in some cases. For example, the release [r9242452] tagged the date as 2015 instead of 2014. Same for the other 3 versions. Is this something I should always be aware of and can't be avoided?

Thanks for the good job continuing to support this :)

Hi DJSamhein,

thank you for your post!

I just tested the release. It's a bug at Discogs. The API-Request get the year 2015, whyever. I will open a bug-thread at Discogs.

Greetings
Sven

I just get an answer from an Discogs-User.

The year 2015 from the api-request is correct. There is a bug on the web interface. So the tagger get the correct date.

Thanks :)

BTW, do you still remember by request about the tagger wanting to change my artist when it features other artists? It's a small change, since I can just uncheck the artist checkbox for that release, but with the delay in changing options it would be a nice thing to have. :)

EDIT: I just checked on that release. Their bandcamp page (https://astralia.bandcamp.com/album/atlas) does say it was released in 2014, so it really is 2014. Also, when checking the artist's discog page (https://www.discogs.com/artist/3197244-Astralia), it also lists the album as 2014. So it seems like it should have returned 2014. I know it's still discogs fault, but I don't think the user provided you with the correct info.

I didn't forget the request. I will add it in the next update of the tagger.

Ok, now i know the problem at discogs.

The first release of the album "atlas" was 2014, but the key-release from the master is set to https://www.discogs.com/de/Astralia-Atl ... se/6884713 which has a release date 2015.
So viewing the master with the web interface shows the release date 2014 of the first release, getting it with api show the release date of the key-release.

Discogs should decide which release date their show.
