Hi,

I'm new to MMW please bear with me. I'm trying to install the Discogs Tagger addon following these instructions 'HowTo_authorize_with_discogs.pdf' but after I have 'saved' the zip file down to my PC I don't get the Product Installation dialog box. Please advice what I'm doing wrong.

Please rename the downloaded file from DiscogsAutoTagWeb_V5.68.zip to DiscogsAutoTagWeb_V5.68.mmip
After that, double click on the file to start the Installation.
Thanks crap_inhuman, it worked.
After installing the addon yesterday I was able to use it. However, today when I logon again I tried to use the addon but after right clicking 'Auto Tag from Web" under the 'Option' neither Discogs or Musicbrainz appear. When I look under >tools>options the addon appears in the dialog box. What am I now doing wrong?

Please try to reinstall with Administrator rights. Start MM with right-click "Start as administrator" and reinstall the addon

After reinstalling as Administrator (btw - my user account is already sent to Administrator) I now get the following error when I try top tag a track with the artwork:-
"Error executing script event. Object required :'SDB.Tools.WebSearch.NewTracks'

Please advise.

Okay, i never saw this error message. Please mark all songs of a release and try to auto-tag from web

I think I have worked it out, the last issue appears to be 'operator error' eg I unclicked all the tag settings. Anyway, now that I have been 'around the block' with this extension I am becoming familiar with how to use it. I have successfully started to tag the tracks. Thanks for your assistance.

Hello!
Trying to tag this album: .../Madness-Keep-Moving/release/2332331

Every time, both as administrator or not, I get this error:

Error #13 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch: "¡AutoDiscNumber"
File: "C:\Users\ACERPC\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsAutoTagWeb.vbs", Line: 4309, Column:4

I do not have any other problems with the script, just this one.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Using MM 4.1.24.1883 on Windows 10 with Discogs Tagger 5.6.9

I have trouble with track matching on SOME tracks.

i.e. An album that has track name - artist on all tracks. 15 match but 2 don't even though they are simple one word name and artist, other more complex tracks match OK. There does not appear to be a way make it actually match manually to the Discogs data, just the tick box to tag it to itself.

This also generated a repeated error missing object WebBrowser

If I minimise the Tagger window the mini toolbar to reopen it is missing, if I select AutoTag again the Tagger Window does not open

Is the track position wrong for the 2 tracks? i.e. track 8 has to be track 9 and vise versa? Or are the 2 songs doesn't match at all?

Please post here the whole error message you got.

You can't minimise the Tagger and start it again. You have to close the Tagger and then restart tagging.

I'm having a problem with the tagger trying to change the track names and numbers, and sometimes disc numbers. This seems to happen on multi-disc sets that have more than one occurrence of song.

I've tried un-checking the tracks or disc number and sometimes that helps, but not always, and it can get really confusing especially if there are multiple occurrences. And if I uncheck enough fields then I don't get a lot of the tags like involved people or composer so it sort of defeats the purpose. Is there a good solution to this? Or is there a way for the tagger to differentiate songs with the same name by the track length (which is rarely identical)?

Thanks!

I know the problem. And i can't fix it, cause Mediamonkey "try" to match the songs, not the tagger. If there are more than one occurrence of a song the matching fails. You can try to change the position of the songs in the lower part of the tagger window. This part is controlled by mediamonkey, so i can't change nothing there.
You can try to tag the discs one after another, if the songs are on different discs, this sometimes helps.

Or you use the Discogs Batch Tagger, this addon use the discs and track-numbering for matching the songs. It works similar to the Discogs Tagger. If you give it a try, please give me feedback about it.

Greetings

OK, that's helpful to at least understand why its happening. Thanks for the tip about the batch tagger, if I try it out I'll let you know!

How do you install this? How do you install a script? Won't install as an extension for MM.
