I just update to release 5.20 and got an error message "error #424" Object required "ImageLocal" in line 4693 column 5.

Can anyone help me ? Is this a bug in the latest release?

I just tested it and no error occur.
Could you please post or send me the Discogs_Script.log ? You find it here : C:\Users\username\appdata\roaming\mediamonkey\scripts

I have been using this script for a few months now and it's been great but as of the last couple of weeks the artwork function isn't working. I updated this morning and the window that normally appears to confirm artwork tagging doesn't appear until after I close the script window and then it doesn't actually save the artwork to the files. All other tagging functions are working normally.

I changed the "confirm artwork window" cause the internal mediamonkey function doesn't download the artwork from the discogs image proxy server. So i use my own confirm window.
There is a 1000 images per application per day rate limit at Discogs.

Therein lies the problem - I did install for current user only (I do that with all scripts). Everything else was in Roaming, but not the script.ini entry. This is on Windows 8.1

For the record, I looked into this and I believe that MediaMonkey itself probably mishandled the entry by attempting to write it to the Program Files ini. The system said no and put it in the VirtualStore as designed. So I believe it's a bug in MediaMonkey which has gone undetected as so few type 3 scripts are written, and a logical error as these scripts are using a program interface rather than the provided panels etc in the scripting architecture. As said, it's not a problem now, but that doesn't mean that it might not recur again as MediaMonkey clearly has a lot of problems with Windows 8.1

The new script version has some new problems:
-When I close the window without tagging (by clicking close, the close (x) button or pressing ESC), the album art window still shows up
-Using the above functionality (which I actually kinda like), I closed the window (without tagging any files) and clicked ok on the art window (I only wanted to update artwork), it still updated album tags (in this case it was title and album name)
-If I only have a few files selected, it will still update the artwork for all files (which I also kinda like. It annoyed me a bit that I couldn't have a way to deselect the tag updating title, for example, but still save the artwork tag), as well as all tags

Basically, the artwork window now saves art, as well as all the selected tags, to all files, no matter which were selected (if you click auto-tag in the discogs window, it will update only the selected ones, I think)

Let me know if you need any more info or logs

The script can't recognize if you click ok or cancel. When the "Save Cover" checkbox is checked, the artwork window will appear.
Please take a look in the options of the script, there are some settings for the artwork which affect the checkbox check of "Save Cover".

The script tagged although you doesn't click the "Auto-tag" button ? I have to check this.

This could be a bug. I have to check this, too.

I will send a few later when I have some time. In the meantime, though, I think I found another bug: when I enter a new search (because discogs didn't return any results and I want to refine it, for example), the artwork window opens when I press enter.

the extension doesn't give enough time to sync up with discogs.... by the time i begin to authorize the extension with discogs.... in mediamonkey it gives me an error that says that i have to start over.... is there a way to change that.?? ..... THX

Changing the authenticate process is on my todo list.

Open Discogs in the Browser and sign in. After that start the script again. Now you should habe enough time

Hi there. Had to manually update as there are no update servers configure (somebody else mentioned up above) and all seemed to go well, however upon running the whole MediaMonkey freezes up. Looked in the Discogs_Script.log and looks like it did the discogs authorization ok and then did a lookup of the album, but never opened a window for DiscogsTagger v5.21. Have shut down MediaMonkey and retried, each time with the same lock-up happening.

Does that happen with all albums? I have noticed before that some albums (only a few) hang MM all the time, but most other albums work normally. I have sent a log of this to the developer, but if you have one yourself, I would advise sending it as well.
If it happens only with a few, just do that album manually (or on amazon). It's what I do. I found that there aren't many that do that, in my case.
