Same problem, portable installation as well (don't know if it's related).
Uninstalled, checked folder, no files there.
Reinstalled version 5.5.4, works fine. I'll wait before installing version 5.5.5, as I need it to work for the moment.

OK - I deleted it after launching MM as an admin and it automatically deleted those files and the entry in the Scripts.ini file. I re-installed the version that you sent me and it now works fine. Thank you!
Re: Discogs Tagger 5.55 (Updated: 2018-01-23)
There's actually 2 discogs tagger in the options menu in the right upper corner, i choosed the upper one and all works fine now with the new version.crap_inhuman wrote:Hi,chris_a_johnson wrote:Every time I try to launch the Discogs Tagger using Discogs, I get an error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, running MM as administrator, but nothing seems to work.
i think you have 2 Discogs Tagger in the options menu in the right upper corner, after you start "Auto Tag from web", right?
Please try to install the AddOn after you start MediaMonkey with admin rights and please post the result, thank you !
Many thanks again, crap inhuman, your extension is absolutely essential!

That's sounds good. Great !chris_a_johnson wrote:OK - I deleted it after launching MM as an admin and it automatically deleted those files and the entry in the Scripts.ini file. I re-installed the version that you sent me and it now works fine. Thank you!
If you need some more help with the tagger post it here in the forum.
If someone has still problems with the portable installation of MediaMonkey and the Discogs Tagger, please download this file: http://www.germanc64.de/mm/getting_info.vbs with right-click -> "save as" and save it to the mediamonkey installation folder (e.g. C:\MediaMonkey). Start the script simply with click on it. The script create a folder "Help" with the script files and info, which should help me to find the reason of the problem. Zip this folder and send it to my email !

If you have a portable installation, save it in the MM folder (e.g. C:\Mediamonkey), if you installed MM the usual way in the standard folder "C:\program files (x86)\mediamonkey" save the script in your normal downloads folder and run it. Saving the script in the c:\program files (x86)... didn't work.
Please send the "Help" folder to: sven [at] germanc64.de

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.55 (Updated: 2018-01-23)
After updating to Discogs Tagger 5.55, MediaMonkey now shows two "Discogs Tagger" options along with MusicBrainz. One of the options is the 5.55 version and it works just fine. The other produces an "unknown name" script error. Any way to get that 2nd non-working script deleted from my options? Thanks.

Auto Tag From Web (Bad Request)
I don't know if anyone else is having problems with Music Brainz or Discogs - I have installed it, but after I install it, the next start it's there, but the second it disappears again until I reinstall the plugin again.
The plugin was working in 4.1.10, but wasn't coming up with results - but at least I didn't need to reinstall it every other time I launched the application.
Add to that the search just doesn't come up with results. Mind you, if I search at the website for either, I find the results for the albums, but within the plugin it just fails. If I use advanced search, I get _wrong_ results, but at least it comes back with something.
Is there a trick to getting the results from Discogs and Music Brainz to correctly come up? (I tried a few Beatles albums just on the off chance I was using albums that weren't common, but same results... None.)
(Using latest release - 4.1.20.1864, updated yesterday)
Regards,
TLD

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.55 (Updated: 2018-01-23)
When I RIGHT-CLICK and choose AUTO-TAG FROM WEB, i don't see any option for the DISCOGS add-on that I installed... what do I need to do to get this to work?
Re: Discogs Tagger 5.55 (Updated: 2018-01-23)
Hi,
Discogs and Musicbrainz should be be available under Options button in top right corner of Auto Tag from web window.

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.55 (Updated: 2018-01-23)
What does it mean when Discogs tagger is suggesting changes to information (Track#) that is incorrect? I have double-checked the Discogs release. It seems like Discogs Tagger is suggesting something other than what Discogs shows.
