For anyone that is somewhat curious about MMWI, I would highly recommend downloading it and checking it out. The latest version is working very nicely. I love being able to browse and control MM from my smartphone.

+1(!)
You can even search and play albums, artists, songs, add/remove them from playlists with any Browser. Cool.

Thanks guys. That's very kind.
I should point out that the mentioned latest version is only a test - and only available in 64-bit.

There will be a 0.9.4.0 version in both 32 and 64 bits available from
http://mmwi.forum.monosolutions.dk/foru ... eases.aspx
in a day or so.

I woke up this morning to find that version 0.9.5.0 was just released and it contains a couple of nice new features. Most notably, it now shows album art and ratings in the player. And you can change the rating of a song from the MMWI, which is very exciting to me.

Hi.
I have installed version 0.9.10.0. This is a very wonderful interface !!! It displays on the browsers of most of the mobile phones.
I run it on my Blackberry 9700 with success....
One minor problem though. I really like to get notes on audiobooks and I rely on the time counter.
It is like when you refresh, the MMWI counts one second ahead..... I don't know if it is an easy fix....
Thanks for your wonderful program anyway....

You are right with the interface, Thanasis.
Another feature:
With the newest version you can start MMWI on a PC of your choice. On the same PC you can start your favorite Internetbrowser and search for a song or an album and play it. Even Playlists are availabe.
Then you start a browser on another PC and connect to the running MMWI on the first PC. One of the greatest feature I found:
You can play a DIFFERENT song on your second PC at the same time you play one on your first PC! This is really cool.
Finally, I can play different songs in different parts of my apartement - as long as I can start a browser and connect to the running MMWI. Great!

I am looking for a web front end to my collection and this sounds like it might work. One question before i download and install .. it sounds like it is a webserver also.
I have a webserver and so that would not be necessary. Am I right in my assumption?
Thank you
David

Hmm, MMWI is a little piece of software that allows a connection between the MediaMonkey database and any web-browser. But I would not describe it as webserver (where you can host websites, FTP, use PHP, Perl, Forums and other things).
Just give it a try.

I agree. Just give it a try. And for what it is worth, there is nothing to install. It runs similar to a portable program.

Large or small .. does it function as a web server? Does it generate pages?
Or are there a set of pages (html/php) that i can use with my apache server?
Thanks

It is self contained, thus it is a webserver which generates webpages on access.

Thank you all for taking an interest in MMWI!
I now feel that it is sufficiently stabile and have submitted it to the addons page
http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brows ... te-access/
Also I really must thank users
gpzbc and
MMuser2011 for all their help in identifying and fixing bugs.
Especially
MMuser2011 has been more than helpful with testing 64-bit and "special character" compatibility.
Thank you for that!
Hopefully more users will find MMWI useful and fuel further development ides at the
forum.

Really,
Your program saved me from a lot of stress.... And money....
I have a PLASMA 50" TV connected to my HTPC (also connected to a stand alone Yamaha amplifier) which consumes 600W (if not more) when it shows....
Now I can safely turn my TV off and control my music through my Blackberry phone's Browser (WIFI connected).
Thanks man !!!
