Playing videos in an external player

Post by Queseuq » Fri May 02, 2008 5:15 am

I've recently added my videos to Media Monkey, but now I need a way to play them. I have the "Open tracks in another application" script but was wondering if there was a way to make the default double click open the video in the external player? Would a script be able to accomplish this and if so could someone give me a pointer on how to start it. Not much of a programmer

Doesn't look like anyone has posted results of a test with MM3, but I don't see why any of them shouldn't work. Try one (or all!) of them out, post in the script thread if its MM3 compatible. (The second one listed looks the most promising..)

Wow nohitter, thanks a lot!!

I spent a lot of time searching for steegys external tools, as I remember having used it before, but couldn't find it!! Maybe I need to improve my searching skills!!

Thank you very much once again!

Yeah, that External Tools script looks really good. Means I could combine all my 'run in external program' scripts into one, thanks nohitter.
