iOS device fail

Post by adrianmarsh »

hi,

i recently rebuilt my laptop. I repointed MM to my original DB using a fresh .ini file.
When I connected my iphone it was recognising it as an d_wmdm.dll plugin. so it didnt match up for the previous profile.
itunes is installed and recognises the phone (iphone 6S, ios 11.4.1).

i restore my previous AppData folder for MM bringing back the original setup but now MM pops up to tell me an iphone was detected and to install itunes (which already is). The Help takes me to http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... /View/139/ but none of that applies. Theres a link to another article but its a broken link.

I seem to remember copying in a different DLL a few years ago into the original PC OS. Before I dig that out of backup is there anything else we can try ?

Which version of MediaMonkey?

Are you sure you have the desktop version of iTunes installed from the Apple website and not the App from the Windows store?

mmm.. ok it is the app I think but when i goto the apple website, they now too direct to microsofts app store. I'll try to find a native installer.

Yeah that looks like it thanks, and I also found the post from the other day.

I couldn't find a native installed from apples website. Had to use a download site and verify the digital signature of the file to make sure it was Apples.

It is available, but you may have to click other downloads to reveal: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

64 bit: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64
32 bit: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win32

Thanks for the direct links. ah.. to get to those on their site I have to click the Other versions and then scroll BACK UP... man what a bad design there.

Ok.. onto the next fresh-pc-resinstall! Thanks!
