Mediamonkey doesn't recognize Windows Store iTunes app

I recently installed the Windows Store iTunes app for Windows 10. Now, Mediamonkey doesn't see an iTunes installation and asks me to install it in order to sync music with my iPhone. Is there a workaround for this? I'd prefer to not go back to the traditional iTunes download for Windows.

You need the full desktop version for its sync components. Unsupported alternative:

Thanks for the link to the alternative method for syncing. Despite disliking iTunes for years, I was actually pleased how quickly the new Windows store app version installed and its performance. For the present, I've returned to the traditional iTunes full install.
