Media Monkey, Sansa Fuze, and Album Art

Post by blkhwk91b »

Anyone with a Fuze that uses MM,

How is your luck with album art? I have a fuze and the ONLY way I can get album art to work on the Fuze is to manually drag and drop the "folder.jpg" file from each respective album one-by-one. Given I have hundreds of albums........

I tried to work this issue from the Fuze end of things but this is a known issue with Fuzes' and album art.

For MM, is there a script or a setting in synchronization that I'm missing? Something that will automatically grab the "folder.jpg" file when synching and place it in the respective folder on the fuze.

Any help or advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE!

Just wanted to let everyone know that after a little messing around I have solved the issue of album art and the Sansa Fuze.

The Fuze requires that one has to manually drag and drop the "folder.jpg" file into the respective album folder on the Fuze in order for the album art to show up properly.

In Media Monkey there is an option to do this. If you are a Fuze user and you need further instruction let me know and I will walk you through it.

.....starting to like MM more and more.

Could you please explain how to do this. I've tried everything and can't get my folder.jpg files to sync.

Thanks

Go to Tools | Options | Portable/Audio devices
Click on the plugin that applies to your Sansa fuze
Click 'Configure'
Go to the 'Device configuration' tab.
Check 'Sync album art to track folders: folder.jpg'
Hit ok.

I can't find the 'Device configuration' tab
Is this only in the Gold Version of MM?

Hi

could you please show us or explain how the 'copy playlist - OPTIONS' should look like?

Because I do not understand Sansa V2 (Fuze) directory structure.

I understand how to embed album art into tags (folder.jpg) in this case and my fuze DOES display tag cover art.
But I do not understand how I can separate 'normal' music and albums from my 'audiobook' files :(
I do not want 30 chapters (audio01.mp3-audio30.mp3) in other display views on my Fuze that in the audiobook-section.

Am I right that ALL depends on how I tagged my files in MM before 'sending'/'syncing' them to my Fuze?
Do I HAVE to create playlists before I send them? E.g., for the example above do I have to mark all my 30 songs belonging to an audiobook in MM and to create a playlist and then send that list or can I send those 30 songs and Fuze creates the list alone by itsself?

thanks

This is how I configured the Playlists Option for the Sansa Fuze. I don't know if this is the right way to do it, but it seems to be working.
