Looking for a new Player

Looking for a new Player
I want to separate my phone from my MP3 Player.
Mainly due to the major disaster that is syncing my Galaxy S3 with MMW. (which is Samsungs fault and not MM's)
I have very easy requirements :
1. I need to be able to *easily* synch with MMW (i have an iphone that syncs seamlessly)
2. I need to be able to scrobble my played tunes to last.fm (ideally real time, but on sync would suffice
3. It needs memory of 60gb plus, or be expandable by a microsd card
4. A nice to have is the option to edit ratings, and have these synced back to MMW incl. playcounts.
Does such a device exist?
I am looking at the sansa clip, which looks nice, but I cant figure out if it supports scrobbling / rating.

Re: Looking for a new Player
I think you're looking at Android (not Samsung) or Apple. Most other devices won't be able to sync Playcounts to MM and/or scrobble to last.fm (I wish MM could scrobble device plays (if it supports playcounts) to last.fm on sync).

I'm aware of two Android based portable audio and video players but I don't know if they sync well with MMW:Buruan wrote:Are there any android players anyone knows which synch well with MMW, are expandable and have WIFI?
1) Sony Walkman MWZ-F805 which isn't expandable.
2) Samsung Galaxy S WiFi which is expandable.
Chinese manufacturers offer a variety of small tablets with Android:

And, of course, there are iPods...
Re: Looking for a new Player
Maybe my requirements are just to specific for there to be a solution.
One Library
Synch playcounts and ratings back and forth
scrobble every song played to last.fm
enough space to store my entire library
Every solution I looked at failed at one of these points.
Samsung Galaxy s3 - Doesnt Synch properly
Iphone - doesnt have enough space (i have the largest at 64gb)
IPOD classic- doesnt scrobble as no wifi capability
Now I could go back to iTunes and scrobble from there, but the mere thought of this makes me cringe.
I love me my Monkey, it is soooooooo much better than itunes, if only that one hurdle could be mastered.

Re: Looking for a new Player
I'm pretty sure Android devices will do what you need as many support SD expansion, last.fm scrobbling and play count tracking with MMA. As you're looking for a player only you may need to look at lesser known brands as most known brands have mostly Android phones.

Re: Looking for a new Player
Yeah the tablet range is well stocked.
I am trying to find a small device though. Something to carry at me at all times.
Maybe I have to simply Lump Samsung and get another Android phone.
All I want is for synching to work......

Re: Looking for a new Player
Well it aint that easy....
Androind phones with a sd card extension (non Samsung) are not easy to find.
What about the Windows Phone range?
Any experiences there?

Re: Looking for a new Player
I have given up on being picky.
If I have to replace my S3 with another android phone that synchs well and has a SD card, so be it.
Which Motorola do you have?
