:D

i am in need of names of preformers.

i have a couple box sets of cdroms i bought in the brick and mortor store.

but the manufacture did not put the artists names on the cdrom's.

i found one being sold on ebay if you need to see an image of one of the cdroms to know whom is doing the music.

if the page is still working then it is at.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Celtic-Treasures-Mu ... dZViewItem

i have that cdrom which part of a two disk set.

and i have their other cdrom set of 3 for big band music.

the manufacture is in canada.

and their name is decorum music studio's.

i can't find any email for them or snail mail addy. so i am unable to find any iformation out unless some one here knows the cdrom preformers for that company.

thanks. 8)

Hopefully someone have that CD and can tell you more info.

Failing that, I guess you could generate some preview files in MediaMonkey, zip them, and share them here for a 'who's that artist' quizz :)

the trouble is there is no vocals they are all orchestra's

they are all being played by the same orchestra but i don't know which it is

as all the songs sound alike and by that i mean if a bad note was hit by a trumpet player that same bad note is hit in all the songs on all the cdroms.

so it has to be the same orchestra

You could try MusicBrainz - their audioprint system often returns some surprisingly good results.

nope nothing found there.

more then likely cause it is not on the cdrom case or disk anyplace.

it is going to take some one knowing by sound or by being in the orchestra or an employee of the manufacture, of the cdrom.

i was hoping some one could tell by looking at that image or name of the manufacture and just know who were the preforumers by their first hand knowledge of them.

that is the only way to find out i can see because there is no list of preformers that i can find, in public lists.

:-? :(

not sure about musicbrainz? if they know it might be the only place that does and it would be for the reason some one else found out and told them.

CD1: http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search_fmt ... d=bc0f080c or http://www.music-db.org/misc/bc0f080c.html, but no performer.

Anyway it seem like it's one of those mood/culture cd's that you can find in many stores, but they are faceless in that no performer is available.

no trixmoto nothing at musicbrainz either. :(

thats what it looks like lowlander.

the one on ebay is just one of 2 that are in that genera of music the other set is 3 big band hits cd's.

it does not make sense to not put the preformers names on it?

how we to keep it in order in the library and how are we to buy more from the artists if we don't know who they are?

its strange to me one that likes everything organized.

I think it is the Rolling Stones.

They don't say that on the CD, but for copyright reasons, the Stones were performing in secret.

I think it's one of those mood CD's you find bed, bath & beyond. They generally have no performers as it's just generic music. Many songs on the CD seem very old traditional so they have no copyright I think.

Wandering of the beaten path is bad when you want things to be organized. I would advice you to bring them back to the store and ask your money back. No performers is just not worth it  .

The 2nd disc doesn't appear to be in musicbrainz.

All the tracks of this CD are included in the first CD of yours. The second one is a ghost CD.

What i think; those CDs you bought are homemade. They dont come from any Label. Looks like a guy live recorded a band that played a bunch of traditional Irish songs, created a cover and started selling it (my guess is that the band doesnt even knows that their performance is for sale).

One interesting thing is that the logo in the cover you provided us, is the same with the logo of this site together with its name. Couldnt locate the CD in there though...

Guess you have to ask for you mony back and try to buy a collection from a known label. I am sure you would come up with a lot of nice Celtic collections

i had posted this from memory of the cdrom's i went and got the cdcases.

and the one i posted that i found on ebay is really a case that holds 2 different cdroms for the music and there is one other so it is a 3 cdrom set.

the one at ebay has timeless romance cd. which is what every one found
the songs for, but the second one is celtic dances. like the " sporting paddy "

the other one is a legacy of the celts. with st.anne's/ big john. and other more traditional songs.. but still no names of performers. oh well looks like i just keep it called decorum studio's it is a good cdrom just not your run of the mill pirate, so i know it is not a home made one. the lable being the same as that web site is not strange since both deal with celtic infromation they would use the most noticable symbol of the cletic stuff they could find.

i did find that most college's call there musical symphony's a decorum, so maybe it is a college some place?
