MMW Playing every other song

Post by lubyn »

I am trying to convert to Mediamonkey after many years of iTunes and I'm having a problem with the order of songs being played. In iTunes, albums played in the order of the track numbers, and Playlists played in the order that they were in the list.

Both albums and playlists seem to be skipping every other song. For example, when track 1 is finished, track 2 is briefly highlighted and then track 3 begins to play. Shuffle is NOT on.

Thank you.

Which version of MediaMonkey and what File Type(s)? Can you play track 2 if you try to play it by itself?

I'm using version 4.1.25.1895

Any song will play if I click on it directly.

The playlists are combinations of MP3, FLAC and one or two M4As.

An album will be all one filetype, MP3 or FLAC, and the alternate file behavior is with either type.

Thank you.

If I remember correctly there was an Addon that caused this problem.

When I would play a playlist I was bothered by the songs stepping one each other instead of a second or two of silence between songs, so I installed and extension called Silence Between Songs. That was my only extension. I uninstalled it and now the problem with songs alternating has disappeared. Thank you very much Lowlander!

Is there another way to get a bit of space between songs?

That's the one, I believe there may be a solution to the skipping posted somewhere in its forum thread.
