Linux Ubuntu version
Hi is there a version of MM suitable for Ubuntu?
Re: Linux Ubuntu version
Not, natively, but MM5.x versions are in plans for other OS after MM5.0 gets out stable on windows.

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
I hope that this comes true soon. At the moment I'm keeping Windows only because of MM...
Linux and full Gold
Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but...
1.- How's the Linux version progressing? I use Ubuntu in my home, but after trying MM on my Windows work computer I realise this is the media player I've been looking my whole life!
2.- If I purchase the lifetime Gold, does it also apply to the mobile versions or are those paid separately?
Thank you for your time!

Hi,
It is not yet decided, but take for example that Android version is treated as separate product.
NOTE: Many users report that MM5 works fine under latest WINE https://wiki.winehq.org/Download and crossover 21+ https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibili ... pp#results

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
If I may add: By far the most easiest and versatile way to install the latest wine is by using the WINE frontend "Playonlinux" which is available on every Linux distribution I know of.Peke wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 5:17 pm NOTE: Many users report that MM5 works fine under latest WINE https://wiki.winehq.org/Download and crossover 21+ https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibili ... pp#results
MM5 (2606)and MM4 (1919) installed and running well on:
Debian 11 KDE, EndeavourOS KDE (wine 7.4 via playonlinux), Win10 64bit

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
Thank you both! But I'm really hoping for a native version, I have very bad experience with Wine installations breaking dependencies, etc.
I can wait, I will happily support this project financially (including the Android version) when that milestone is reached.
Looking forward!

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
Understandable and unfortunate. May I ask with which version of Ubuntu you had this bad "WINE" experience with?
I am interested in trying it out myself in a virtual machine.

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
All of them! Ha! I've been using Ubuntu for about 15 years and I've had this issue on multiple versions. Also had some friends experiencing the same issues... I'm not tech-savvy enough to solve it.

Re: Linux Ubuntu version
I can't wait for a Linux version of MediaMonkey.
All the players available in Linux are complete, absolute crap.
Why don't we have MediaMonkey for Linux?
I would pay again for the license.

I know right? I'm just waiting on that to finally jump on the paid version...
